The oil ring vacuum pump is designed on the principle of liquid-sealed pistons. Its construction principle is different from the general oil-sealed type that uses sliding vanes. When the sliding vane vacuum pump is running, the vanes will constantly rub against the cylinder and the groove of the rotor. Good circulation oil lubrication is required. When the extracted gas contains moisture, the lubrication effect of the circulation oil will be destroyed, causing serious damage to the oil-sealed vacuum pump.

When the oil ring vacuum pump is running, there is no friction contact surface of the internal parts, so there is no problem of poor lubrication effect. Its internal circulating oil is not used as lubrication, but as a sealing mechanism gap and is used as a liquid piston to interact with the eccentrically rotating compound impeller to achieve the effect of vacuum extraction.
Therefore, when the pump contains a large amount of water vapor, it will not affect its life, so the service life is much longer than that of the general oil seal sliding vane.
